Schools Growing Competion There were 15 schools taking part. We are very grateful to Jim Buttress and Jean Griffin of BBC Radio Sussex DigIt gardening programme for making the presentations for each of the groups.
Patato in a Bag Schools Competition there were 106 entries in this competion. The competition was judged by Jean Griffin (esteemed Radio Gardening expert). Judging was carried out for each of the year groups 1 to 7, reception group and nursery group. A certificate and a £10 voucher kindly donated by SHOOTS Garden Centre, Washington, was presented to the winner of each group. The Murphy Cup was awarded to the best overall entry for the
most successful crop of potatoes grown in a bag.

Patio Pot Schools Competition there were 6 entries. The Bob Brown Cup was awarded, as well as a £10 voucher
donated by R. F. Tilney & Son Ltd., to the best overall entry for the
Patio Pot judged on how well it decorates a patio.
The winner was Bramber First School
Miniature Garden Schools Competition there were 2 entries. A £10 voucher donated by R. F. Tilney & Son Ltd.was awarded to the best overall entry for the Miniature Garden.
